You will find here documentation about poor service or shabby merchandise.

Take a look and perhaps you'll save yourself some (considerable) aggravation.

Beware of:

  • (dis)Advantage car rental service - I've had luck with them in the past, but on my Dec. 25, 2008 trip to Las Vegas, I discovered that the low, low rate quoted me for a reserved car rental *WAS* too good to be true. They had no cars. They told me "Budget" would honor the rate. Of course Budget did not!
  • Schwab Brokerage (read the email chain!) Customer service without the service and no doubt eventually without the customer portion.
  • Cielcorporation, aka Robby Mailyatar of Minnesota
  • Reno Hilton (click for my review on Epinions) NOTE: This was property was sold and is now Sierra Suites.
  • Chadwicks Jewelry

Cielcorporation aka Robby Mailyatar of Minnesota

Robby posted an item on E-bay (a phone, see snippet below). He did not send the charger. I attempted to communicate with him several times by E-mail giving 3 and 4 day deadlines for a response - but he never responded. After eight days I filed a dispute with PayPal. Surprisingly, he never responded to PayPal (they set a 10 day deadline). [NOTE: I will be glad to send a file containing all of the e-mails sent and received from this "business man" to anyone who asks - you can see for yourself].

In the intervening time, I was able to hunt down Robby by phone (had to request E-bay for this information as he never provided it!) and he agreed to send the missing item by Friday, Sept 16th. It arrived Sept 17th. Despite this and his many non-responses I left NEUTRAL feedback rather than negative feedback. Unfortunately PayPal found in my favor by then - but noted that they could not refund me because "there were no funds in the account."

Despite my prompt payment, my weeks of patience, he had the audacity to leave NEGATIVE feedback on me!

Buyer's Comments:

I received a package containing the cell-phone described, but it did NOT include a charger as stated on the item description. I attempted to contact the seller by e-mail on August 29th (There does not appear to be any phone number to contact him/her). I requested either a partial refund ($8), or the shipment of the missing item (charger) and a confirmation of which approach he intended to take with a deadline of September 1st, 5:00 PM. It is now September 6th and I still have not received a response. At this point I am willing to accept a refund of no less than $12 or delivery of a working charger by September 9th.

Chadwick's Jewlery [Catalog Sales]

They REALLY border on incompetent.... Naw, scratch that, they ARE incompetent. How do I know this? Well, Tricia ordered a ring from them; however the ring was missing several stones, so she sent it back. This happened *3* times. Ok, so what's the problem? The ring that they sent back each time was the one she sent them in the first place!

Finally the manager sent her a "new ring" and told her to keep the old one. It was in WORSE shape then the one she had originally. Don't take my word for it, look at the pictures below. And this process took about a month and a half.

Chadwick Quality - you can't see it:
